Take the first step towards building an effective and empowering self practice. Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009) that has largely influenced the vinyasa style yoga we practice today. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat.
In this workshop you'll learn the foundations of Ashtanga yoga philosophy and the methods to jump start your own self practice, Mysore style, learning one on one with the teacher and receiving adjustments along the way. The first half of the workshop will be philosophy and the second will be Mysore style practice where you will receive and memorize your very own Ashtanga practice!
